Jerusalem-Shelter (Cardboard-house)
During my studying at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design I had the task to build a temporary shelter in Jerusalem that wouldn‘t be removed from the streets by the authorities. In this city every building has to be made of the same stone on the outside by law. That‘s why I built a „camouflage“-shelter made of cardboard and printed paper. Since there is no rain in summer, the material can last for months. I also used real items you can find in the local architecture like old windows, cables and a lattice gate.
The work was exhibited in the Hansen House at the Jerusalem Design Week 2016.
